Human Beings! Are you ready to give a POP POP! for a great Greendale morale booster?
WE WON THE TV GUIDE MAGAZINE POLL! God, is that what we needed right now or what? They’re on sale December 1st and I’m definitely buying all three covers, because frankly, three covers aren’t even enough for this amazing cast.
So stop reading Warren Piece, do an Annie robot dance, get some chicken fingers, and declare everything to be #STREETSAHEAD!

Networks do respond to fan passion, but they only respond when they see it in tangible ways. And that usually means writing actual letters and sending them through the postal service to both the network and any of the show’s regular advertisers. … So if you’re trying to think of a way to really help the show while it’s gone, start with a 44-cent stamp.
From Five Reasons Community Could See A Season Four. Todd VanDerWerff for the win!
If you’re thankful for Community, send a letter this weekend to NBC or their advertisers.
(via andreastreeter)
We’ve gotten a couple requests for lists of advertisers and andreastreeter has got a great one. Todd VanDerWerff seems to think Target is a pretty good bet, so if we were ever to focus our efforts on one company, this might be the one. (More on this next week.)

Time to finish your holiday shopping!
Amazon has Season 1 and Season 2 DVDs at kind of insanely low prices. You can buy the two of them for about $25, so if you were at a loss for what sort of gift you were going to get for someone, anyone, you’ve just found your answer.

Hey Human Beings! We’ve been getting a hugely positive response about our charitable campaign, Beyond Greendale, where we hope to bring Community fans together to support real life high school classrooms in need of funding through direct donations at our DonorsChoose.org page and t-shirt sales at our Six Seasons and a Movie shop.
We’ve decided to move this campaign to its own separate website. Greendale Is Where We Belong will still remain as a Save Community campaign aggregator, but we figured that Beyond Greendale needed its own space. So please, go check it out and go follow! Thanks so much for your support.

Important Announcement About Tomorrow’s Twitter Parade
savenbccommunity:
Thanks, all of you who spread the word about tomorrow’s #GreendaleParade!
PLEASE NOTE: we’ve just been told that the hashtag #Community doesn’t show up on Twitter trends because it’s too common a word. So instead we’ll be using #NBCCommunity.
So, your tweet will read like this:
“I’m thankful for #NBCCommunity because ___. [your link] #GreendaleParade #MacysParade”
Thanks, Human Beings! We can’t wait to see all your floats tomorrow!

Beyond Greendale: A Charitable Campaign
It’s been a week now since we got the news that we are, indeed, in the darkest, most terrible timeline. But Community fans being Community fans, we did not disappoint in our disappointment. A petition has circulated, twitters have suggested support, tumblrs are making goatees into the latest thing, and we’ve all become even more tightly knit.
Greendale Is Where We Belong is here to stay as an aggregate for tips, tricks, and links to all the campaigns we hear about. But we’d also like to introduce the latest campaign.
We learned back in debate, brother, that people are evil. But with Beyond Greendale, we’d like to prove that people are only evil most of the time.
DonorsChoose.org is an excellent organization that allows contributors to donate directly to classrooms in need of funs for specific projects. Since the Air Conditioning Repair school has Greendale covered in terms of financing, why not help out kids who are getting ready for or thinking about going to college?
Here’s our plan of action: we’re starting small.
- We’ve got a campaign page set up (tentatively titled Beyond Greendale, let us know if you like it or have other ideas) so if you’re ready to start with us, even with just a few dollars, we, and the high schoolers we’re helping out, would certainly appreciate it. If you can’t give now we’d love it if you’d sign up as a member with your e-mail address. It’s another way to keep informed and it’s a great way to show concrete fan support.
- We’ve got t-shirts for sale at the Six Seasons and a Movie store and all profits will go to Donors Choose. We’ll be making update posts to let you know how much money we’ve raised from these sales every week.
- We need your help one more time. Please reblog this or write a short post about it with a link on your blog. Tell your friends. Spread the word if you’re involved in other Community campaigns. This can only work if we’re all in it together, and I sure hope we will be.
If we can come together, as a Community community, and commit, not to being evil, but to struggling students, teachers, classrooms, and schools around the country, then we’ll be saying a lot about ourselves and the good the show can do. If this campaign can help get notoriety for the show and fan efforts, that’s great. But whatever happens for our show, we can know that we did a whole lot of good for schools beyond Greendale. And no one can take that away from us.
More posts soon. In the mean time, what do you think?

First things first: I know these shirts are really simple and easy to make yourself - and if you want to do that, go for it! But I also want you guys to know that ALL PROFITS will be donated to charity. It’d be great if we could collectively settle on one and combine efforts to keep track of how much Community fans have raised. As of right now I’ve settled on DonorsChoose.org - a great website that Colbert fans likely already know of. You get to donate to individual classroom projects. Not only are you helping classrooms in need, but Communies get to come together to support teachers, students, and schools that, like Greendale, could use some help (and not just for All5Dances!).
I couldn’t get to sleep last night so I ended up making a few t-shirts in the style of #Annies Move. They feature our most popular campaign tags, #SaveCommunity, #SixSeasonsandaMovie, #OccupyGreendale, #OccupyNBC, #GreendaleIsWhereIBelong. I’d love other suggestions, or, if you’re feeling generous, designs.
Also, we still want you to support the show directly by purchasing official NBC merchandise and send the peacock a message.
We’ll keep you updated on how this charitable campaign is going. If you have any ideas please let us know!

Charitable Human Beings
(Reposting because replies weren’t enabled and that’s kind of the point!)
Hey Communies! Here’s a Sunday morning idea for you.
Was anyone a part of the Chuck campaigns? I wasn’t, but they were obviously successful. I know one of them involved getting Chuck fans to donate to a specific charity that they related to the show.
If we could settle on one rather collectively and explain its connection to Greendale and donate to it we might get more notice in the press and prove that Community fans aren’t just snobby and self superior (at times), but can also do a lot of good.
I feel like something education based is probably our best bet. I know Stephen Colbert is a big supporter (and board member) of DonorsChoose.org, a great organization that allows donors to give to specific classroom projects. Maybe we could work with them to set up a campaign page. I’m sure there are plenty of other worthy causes that would be good to consider as well.
So, does anyone have ideas about charities (and how they can connect to Greendale)?
